STRESSLESS

Feeling Stressed?
Work-related stress is a challenge to the world of educators, in which they can do nothing to combat this risk and threat.
Often stress is caused by the differences between the resources of a professional and what is demanded from the individual, as such stress is caused by various factors and is expressed differently depending on the individual.

The Project
The STRESSLESS project – Improving Educators’ Resilience to Stress – is an initiative, supported by the European Commission under the Lifelong Learning programme, which main aim is to develop a tool to combat the consequences of the increased pressure that is on educators and the education system as a whole.

General aim
The main objective of the project is to develop a guidebook regarding work-related stress, particular in the context of educators and education institutions.
The guidebook tested and evaluated in different countries, will facilitate better conditions to keep a healthy and satisfied work environment, by implementing strategies to prevent work-related stress.

Partnership
The consortium consists of 8 organisations and 2 silent partners, which represent in total 9 countries, which is coordinated by SPI and has project duration of 2 years (November 2010 – October 2012).

Project Major Stages:
SRESSLESS is implemented through the following phases:

  • Needs analysis of educators and education institutions regarding work-related stress
  • Development of content to the guidebook, in which the results from the need analysis will be included
  • Test and evaluation of the handbook through national workshops
  • Presentation and promoting of the handbook at an international seminar
  • Promotion of dissemination events, exploitation and valorisation of the results of the project
