VETREALITY is a transnational project funded by the Erasmus+ programme of the European Union. Seven project partners from six EU countries are working together to promote innovative learning approaches and methods and to provide digital competences for teaching and training. Another aim is to increase technological competences related to VR (Virtual Reality) applications and competences to facilitate the access of Special Education Needs (SEN) pupils to workplace-based education and to promote VR in the context of mobility as a means to promote the participation of SEN pupils and to ensure equity and inclusion in all Vocational Education and Training (VET) environments.
During the lifetime of the project (October 2020 to November 2022), the partnership will develop the following three main outcomes:
IO1: VETREALITY e-Compendium for teachers and trainers in vocational education and training.
Increase awareness and knowledge of VET teachers and trainers on the best VR applications available that can be used to facilitate the learning process of SEN students to enable them to access WBL smoothly (focus groups and collection of existing VR tools);
IO2: VETREALITY training programme for vocational teachers and trainers.
Develop a training programme to equip the target group with knowledge, skills and competences needed to integrate VR technology into their own teaching and training methods to support SEN students’ access to WBL (EU and NA training programme and tests);
IO3: VETREALITY Mobility Tool Box for VET teachers and trainers.
Promoting the involvement of SEN pupils in mobility, facilitating their integration thanks to VR technology and applications.
