Radio broadcasting. Web journalism. Communication. Education. Cultural promotion. Comunità Aperta is a non profit cooperative founded in Rimini in 1981. It owns and operates Radio Icaro (broadcasting in the province of Rimini and member of RadioInBlu, the network of Italian Catholic radio stations) and the news website www.newsrimini.it (featuring 1.241.551 users e 4.781.632 sessions in 2014). It produces contents and programs for local and national radio stations, for Icaro Communication tv channels and for the web. It takes part in several national projects, mainly about social integration, youth education and culture.
Partner of Italian Government, Emilia-Romagna Region, local authorities (e.g. Province of Rimini, Municipality of Riccione), public bodies (e.g. Ausl of Rimini), private companies (e.g. Hera).
It is part of Icaro Communication network (the multimedia group of Rimini Diocese which also includes 3 tv channels, 1 web tv and 1 weekly newspaper), with which it shares an overall staff of 24 people and depending on specific needs. The cooperating staff is based on different professional and technical skills that can be integrated depending on specific aims of projects: journalists, presenters, camera operators, directors, audio and video editors, lights and audio technicians, with technical equipment for video production and broadcasting.
