The Faculty of Computer Science offers a higher than average proportion of practical and application-oriented core areas in research and teaching. The research profile of the Faculty is characterized by the three key areas of image, knowledge and interaction. Many current research projects are being worked on across faculties.
The working group “Teacher Training Computer Science” under the direction of Dr. Henry Herper teaches computer sciences courses for teaching degrees and media literacy students. The group develops and tests technical and content-based concepts for computational education in schools in cooperation with schools at all levels.
