Syntra West is a not for profit organisation set up in 1960 in the Province of West-Flanders, Belgium and provides annually 3,5 million training hours for about 60,000 trainees. Our open and in-company trainings of different types in length and approach involve technical training sessions in 200 professions, technical and management trainings, IT trainings and specific language courses.
We are working with 2,000 part-time trainers and a staff of 220 persons. There are 6 training campuses. Our target groups are entrepreneurs, company managers, senior staff and employees of small and medium-sized companies, as well as unemployed students. Besides, we share our know-how and structure with non-profit organisations and public enterprises.
The Project Office writes and co-ordinates EU-funded projects with a national, European, bilateral or international character, focussing on entrepreneurial skills and competency profiles, always searching innovation in methodologies and tools (http://projectbureau.syntrawest.be/).
