CROCEMS is an ERASMUS+ project, that aims to fill a gap in vocational education and training and create a new course focusing on the introduction of circular economy in manufacturing sectors by using collaborative robotics to perform waste management.
The final purpose of the project is to deliver a comprehensive training course on how to apply collaborative robotics to circular economy processes (sensor planning system for vision, reusable piece-recognition or disassembly of valuable materials) in order to boost the most effective waste management in European Manufacturing Sectors, helping to reduce its impact while creating job positions, enabling new manufacturing processes, business models and industrial symbiosis.
The CROCEMS project will bring together an innovative Consortium made up of 5 partners from 4 European Countries: HE and VET providers, research centres and SMEs with wide experience in Circular Economy, Collaborative Robotics and education.
- Centro Tecnológico del Mueble y la Madera de la Región de Murcia (CETEM)- Spain
- Atmoterm SA (AMOTERM)- Poland
- University of Applied Sciences Kalsruhe (HKA)- Germany
- Technical University of Applied Sciences (TUWIEN)- Austria
- University of Deusto (DEUSTO)- Spain
To this end, CROCEMS partnership has defined the following specific and SMART objectives:
SO1: Increasing quality in work through the design and development of new transversal and edge-cutting curricula on Collaborative Robotics and its use on waste management and Circular Economy. It will adapt VET provisions according to the skills needs of the addressed sectors by opening up to new actors.
SO2: Create flexible learning pathways and didactic tools based on the learning outcomes approach, able to provide, assess and recognise the key competences identified of the target groups by addressing common needs and priorities in the fields of education and training.
SO3: Deliver the training through e-learning platform (MOOC) in different EU languages, providing innovative learning material and promoting the use of open and online learning, as well as liquid education approach, which will enhance the access to continuing training for all.
SO4: Promotion and use of information about the Project outputs and outcomes across Europe for a wider exploitation of the Project results and secure its impact on EU VET providers policies.
SO5: Ensuring the Project sustainability and impacts after its end by assuring the access to Project outputs to enable transformation and change by leading to improvements and new approaches.
And finally, five project results will be implemented during the 36 months of the project (from Febr 2022 to Feb 2025) in order to reach all the objectives detailed before:
- Analysis on Current Needs for Manufacturing Sectors Waste Management
- Joint Curriculum and Educational Philosophy
- Collaborative Training Platform
- Training Content Development
- Blueprint for the implementation of Circular Economy in Manufacturing Sectors
