The EU Women project aims to increase the number of women considering self employment by developing a tailored pre-enterprise learning programme and making
it available online. EU Women is co-funded by the European Commission through the Leonardo da Vinci programme and involves colaboration between partner
organisations in Bulgaria, Czech Republic, Italy, Lithuania, Portugal, Romania, Spain and the UK.
The partners will develop an easy to understand, innovative and interactive online training course that will be structured into units. This pre-enterprise programme will
assist women to consider self employment by exploring issues such as ideas generation, female entrepreneurship, introduction to marketing, setting up a business, introduction
to fi nancial planning, sources of small business support and European best practice. Following the delivery of pilot courses in Bulgaria, Italy & Romania the materials will
be amended where appropriate.
