Funded through the European Union’s Programme for Lifelong Learning the KIM project aims mainly at the improvement and promotion of the social inclusion and gender equality of migrants in the European countries. In times of dramatically reduced expenditure of European countries especially for social matters, the inclusion and support of migrants is facing considerable challenges. However this situation leads to a double burden. Migrants get less support and are less able to help themselves and integrate themselves into the European societies, so in the long run, the dramatic cuts in social expenditure and reduced services and support will have considerable negative impact on societies and lead to enormous problems. Nevertheless at the moment migrants are lacking possibilities for inclusion and especially gaining the important key competences and skills for better integration into labour market and society in general.
